Since 1989, Campers’ Corner has been a cornerstone for Singapore’s outdoor community. Founded by Calvin as a specialist hub for trekkers. Beyond the shop, we are a collective—uniting those who enjoy the wild, value quality, and seek meaningful adventure.
We believe in intentional curation.
Every piece we carry is carefully selected
for longevity and performance.
A journey through Singapore's outdoor community to bring together the individuals who honor the wild, demand exceptional quality, and seek a truly meaningful adventure.
1988
Calvin once got lost in the jungle of Mount Ophir for two days while hiking with his boss. Just a week after making it out, he bought a train ticket and went right back to conquer the exact same trail. That experience is exactly why he's so obsessed with having the right gear—especially a solid pair of shoes.
1989 - 1992
Campers’ Corner officially opens on 27 September 1989
at a tiny corner unit: 1 Selegie Road, Paradiz Centre #01-11.
Beginning humbly with fewer than 10 brands, the business initially sourced its limited inventory of 10 to 15 products via snail-mail orders from US magazines. Run entirely by a passionate 2-man crew (the founder and Alex). When early scaling caused cash flow issues, diehard community members literally put money on the table to keep the dream alive.

1992 - 1999
To accommodate a booming community, the store moves to a much larger space just down the hall: Paradiz Centre #01-13.
Driven by a hands-on pioneering spirit, the business brought landmark events to Singapore, from hosting Canada’s Banff Mountain Film Festival, to flying in a legendary Japanese climber for the YMCA Rock Climbing Competition.
They also organised community tracking groups every Saturday, bringing outdoor enthusiasts out into the wild.

1999 - 2010
Following the end of the Paradiz Centre lease, Campers’ Corner moves to a highly prestigious, elite retail space: Capitol Building.
The business expanded its technical portfolio by introducing more global outdoor brands to Singaporean adventurers. To support this growth, the operation scaled to a structured team of four to five staff members made up of student interns. These interns helped build the company's early marketing and inventory systems.

2010 - 2019
Campers' Corner relocated to a vibrant arts and heritage district after the lease ended: 51 Waterloo Street #01-01.
Now featuring a integrated cafe, bar, and concept space, the venue serves as a community anchor fueled by shared experiences and meaningful connection.

2019 - Present
Campers’ Corner settles into its current modern home:
75 Bukit Timah Road #01-01, Boon Siew Building.
Decades later, we remain deeply rooted in the same core philosophy established on day one: Real gear, tested by real explorers, backed by an unbreakable community.

We wouldn’t be here without the folks who helped us clear the trail. To our incredible community and the dedicated patrons who have supported our vision since the early days: Thank you. You are the heartbeat of this brand.
